About

Who am I? That’s the question. It’s a basically spiritual question as well: and any answer I give is limited by the concepts introduced by the words in the answers.

That said – I’m a daughter. I’m a sister. I’m a graduated teacher of math and chemistry who still does a bit of tutoring (math, chemistry and physics).

I’ve studied world religion at Leiden University for several years, specializing in India, Buddhism and the psychology, sociology and anthropology of religion. I also loved philosophy  and history of religion. If that sounds like all aspects of religion – it’s not. I am not particularly interested in looking at religion from a literary perspective. For me personally the practical side to religion – aka spiritual growth – is paramount.

I got my start studying religion and spirituality as a member of the Theosophical Society in 1994. My main studies in that context have been the work of H.P. Blavatsky and Jiddu Krishnamurti. In 2009 I will be giving my first lecture for the Dutch section. I will also be doing a workshop about colors.

I design websites for a living, having recently learned my way around wordpress. I blog. I make lenses. I’m fluent in Dutch and English.

Here’s some of the places I’m active online. This list is far from complete. You may recognize me online by the tag-names ‘kh7′ or ’spirituality’ or variations of those.
