The Karma of Money has all to do with the first temptation of Christ,
to turn stones into bread...He solved it for Himself by saying to Satan ( Tamas-tamasha ( not to the Devil ( Rajas-rajasha ), since there are 3 dwellers on the Treshold, the 3d One is the Dweller on the Treshold of ( Satva-satvaha ) ): Thou shall not tempt the Lord ( His Higher Self ).
For Humanity counts, they should share everything which is given to them by Right Action...The Buddha couldn't solve it either for Humanity, however he gave instructions for Humanity to achieve it.
According KH in the ML, actually no-one ever managed to solve the problem and this is where WE should take up this Cross of Change ( the Swastika ) and show the world Selflessness is ( satva-ha ) is making the Self an Instrument for Humanity as a Whole...

I recommend reading George Lamsa's translation of the Bible/ from Aramaic, at least the New Testament (Aramaic may not be the orginal Tanakh language.) The translation of your Matthew quote is odd: Lamsa's translation explains the Aramaic word 'camel' is pronounced/spelled (I said 'pronounced' 1st because AFAIK, centuries ago spelling was not standardized) the same as 'rope.'

'Well off' does often mean 'having more than you need' in parts of UK or USA or both, etc..
